Tijuana Flats

I usually go to this place every time I visit FL. The rice and beans are yummy but thanks to Ms. A, I discovered that their Beef tostadas are yummy too!

(My camera kinda broke so I couldn't take a more focused shot)

This place is supposedly known for their hot sauces. I have been here a good number of times and I have yet to find a hot sauce that I like. They have about 10 or so choices to choose from but I don't have a single favorite. It's quite a shame...

Steak Soft Taco ($6.69 for two)

This was H's order. He gets this every time. I am guessing it is good.

The rice and beans that came with his order. Don't the rice look yummy? It's moist, flavorful and tastes fresh. The beans aren't bad either.

We ordered another side of rice and beans. The container looks pretty small but it's surprisingly filling.

Beef Tostadas ($6.99)

This was my first time getting this dish here and I now have something else to look forward to. I usually get a chicken quesadilla (which I don't care here) because I don't know what else to order. Anyway, the tortilla was crispy and the beef/cheese went well with it. I felt that they also weren't skimpy on the meat.  The fresh jalapeno was a turned off for me. I guess I can safely say that I prefer the preserved jalapenos than the fresh ones. Oh and the salsa was okay. I didn't really eat it.

I don't know why but I like their sodas here. I think it's because of the shaved ice.

We went to costco later so I picked up a $1 churro. It wasn't good at all. I guess that's why it's a dollar?
